As part of the historical Moddergat Estate, the cottages are in the heart of the vast 1.5 acre estate surrounded by Oak, Fig and Blackwood trees; offering something for guests of all ages.
In a terraced environment, maximising the natural beauty of the area, the lower pool terrace is set with tavern benches where you can indulge and enjoy a lengthily and unhurried breakfast.
Or you can opt take a step back in time to 1870 and have breakfast in the Main House under original oak beams, finished with a mix of light and dark oak, yellow-wood, rosewood and beech. Itís in the breakfast room that you will share the historical past with original works by Hout Bay artists, Don Hartley, Erica Griffiths and Susanne Kievits.
From the steps that lead up from the pool terrace to a lawn, it becomes the perfect place to relax in the afternoon sun and to take in the views to the peaks of Constantiaberg and Table Mountain.
The newly extended pool terrace is paved with sand stone-faced slabs and in keeping with modern trends, the salt water pool reduces skin irritations through the minimal use of chemicals.
The childrenís playground with jungle gym, swings and sand pit is situated close to the two bed-roomed cottages to ensure privacy, while at the same time allowing you watch and enjoy all activities.
